Soccer Season
Upward Soccer provides a positive, family-friendly environment where children of all skill levels can grow in their athletic abilities while learning valuable life lessons. Our league focuses on fun, teamwork, and sportsmanship, all rooted in Christian values. With age-appropriate instruction and an emphasis on building character, Upward Soccer encourages players to develop not just on the field, but in their faith journey as well. Join us for a season of fun, friendship, and faith!

Ways to Volunteer
Commissioner
Partner with Fox River in communicating with families, organizing and planning the season and events, this can be done for all sports or the volunteer could pick one sport in specific they would like to help with.
Devotion Team
Rotate through different teams during half time of practices to share the weekly devotion and give a gospel message, also have opportunity to do half time talks during games.
Field Maintenance
Paint and maintain field lines through out the season possible cut and or trim grass on fields
Equipment Manager
Maintain all equipment used such as all balls to be inflated and ready for next sport, soccer goals and nets are good with no tears, basketball hoops are at right heights for appropriate grade level, football pylons and down markers in good working condition.
Concessions
Help with serving food for the Upward families and kids, friendly and welcoming to all, help with directing families to the appropriate places for games.
Upward Sports Coach
As an Upward Coach, you play a vital role in creating a positive and Christ-centered sports experience for young athletes. You will lead a team through weekly practices and games, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and character-building. Coaches are expected to encourage players, foster a love for the game, and model Christ-like behavior on and off the field or court.
Upward Sports Referee
As an Upward Sports Referee, you play an essential role in ensuring a fun, fair, and encouraging game-day experience for young athletes. More than just enforcing the rules, you help create a positive atmosphere where players can grow in skill, confidence, and sportsmanship. Your role is to keep the game safe and enjoyable while modeling integrity and Christ-like character.

Upcoming Leagues
Basketball Season
In Upward Basketball, kids learn fundamental basketball skills like dribbling, shooting, passing, and teamwork. The program emphasizes character development, sportsmanship, and building confidence, all while incorporating Christian values into practices and games.
For Upward Cheerleading, participants learn cheer routines, stunts, and chants while developing teamwork, leadership, and enthusiasm. Cheerleaders encourage their teams and learn how to support one another, with a focus on Christian principles and positive attitudes.
Both programs aim to foster spiritual growth alongside athletic development.
Flag Football Season
Upward Flag Football is more than just a game—it’s a place where kids can grow in character, build confidence, and develop both athletic and life skills in a positive, Christ-centered environment. With a focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition, each practice and game is designed to help players grow on and off the field. Whether your child is new to the sport or already loves basketball, they’ll find encouragement, friendship, and fun every step of the way!
