2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
Devotional:
In this verse, God gives us a glimpse into why Jesus hasn’t returned yet. If we are willing, He also helps us to adjust our heart to line up with His. God’s desire is that everyone would come to repentance and have relationship with Him. He’s not slow in keeping His promise for Jesus to return, He has such a care for people that He is patiently working in people’s lives so that they might turn to Him. Who do you know that needs Jesus? Begin praying today for them, expecting God to help open their heart to Him. Then ask God for opportunities to share how God has impacted your life with them.
