Required Experience and Skills
Fulltime Position
- Strong experience in shooting and editing video with a quick turnaround
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Premiere Pro and DSLR video workflows (Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc.)
- Skilled in identifying powerful moments in raw footage to create impactful stories
- Ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Up-to-date with design concepts and visual trends, with a keen eye for aesthetics
- Proactive, strategic thinker who anticipates needs and brings creative solutions to the table
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing and growing a brand on social media, with hands-on knowledge of platforms like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok
- Collaborative team player who’s open to sharing ideas, solving challenges, and giving feedback
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead volunteer teams, including mentoring and delegating tasks
- Highly organized, with a proven track record in effective time management
Core Responsibilities
- Produce compelling video stories for online, social media, and in-service experiences
- Lead video shoots, from planning to final edits, for diverse media types
- Create short-form and long-form video and motion graphics content for digital screens, social media, and weekend services
- Support each ministry with tailored video content
- Participate in live-streaming and on-location shoots as needed (occasional local travel may be required)
- Organize and outline footage to build clear, impactful stories
- Edit video sequences with attention to pacing, storytelling, and quality audio
- Collaborate with directors, producers, and ministry leaders to align on creative direction
- Manage requisitions for media-related purchases
- Curate and share stories of life change on video and social media platforms
- Lead and mentor a volunteer team (Dream Team) in creating social media content and gathering stories for services and events
- Network with other departments to discover and document transformative stories
- Stay on top of social media trends to keep content fresh and relevant
Weekly Responsibilities
- Participate in weekly staff meetings
- Provide regular project updates to your direct supervisor
- Respond to communications promptly (email, phone, text)
- Organize and prioritize tasks within project management software
- Flexible schedule with availability for occasional weekends and evenings
