2 Corinthians 8:21 – For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man.

Paul–in his letter to the Corinthian church–encourages/expects the followers of Christ to do the right thing by giving unconditionally to those in need. Realize, God also calls you and I to give with eagerness. This is important not only because it is right, but also because the people around us are changed by the attitude we have and the excitement we show when following Christ. I love that God wants our giving to impact others. Even though He doesn’t need any of our dollars, any of our resources, or any of our time, God still chooses to include us in His Kingdom work. Together, let’s make the effort to do what is right and to trust God with our giving… and may others see the joy we have!

Prayer Topic:

1) Ask God to reveal an area of your life in which you can show an eagerness to do what is right through helping.

2) Pray for strength to take this next step; even though it may be uncomfortable.

3) Ask God to provide for you (and others) in the areas where sacrifice will be made.

4) Pray, in expectation, that God would continue to give you a heart like His own–filled with eagerness, endurance, and excitement–so that others might see His unfailing love and amazing grace.
