First impressions are so important when people walk into our church. They really set the tone for their entire experience. When we create a welcoming atmosphere, newcomers feel valued and comfortable, which encourages them to return and get more involved with our community. Our ushers, greeters, parking lot attendants, and coffee shop team all play a crucial role in this.

Parking Lot Team
The first smile you see! Welcome guests while ensuring a safe and organized traffic experience.
Greeter Team
Welcome and care for guests as they enter the building. This is a great first serve and opportunity to connect with other volunteers.
Coffee Shop Team
Work on the caffeine team – balancing fun and excellence while serving delicious drinks! Learn relevant skills, make new friends, and share joy through coffee!
Usher Team

FOX RIVER KIDS MINISTRY
Early Childhood (Babies to 4K)
Volunteering in early childhood at Fox River is a wonderfully rewarding experience caring for and teaching Fox River’s youngest. The early childhood program helps prepare kids for a future learning about Jesus while their parents and guardians’ worship and grow from His Word in Fox River’s main auditorium.

Nursery
For children from birth to 2 years old, meaningful care includes holding, playing, and providing timely diaper changes to ensure their comfort and well-being.

2K Leader and Assistant
This role contributes to creating a nurturing and supportive atmosphere where children can thrive. This role will be carried out during all services, 2-4 times a month, at South Campus.
OPEN POSITIONS
In this role, you will be responsible for following a structured curriculum that supports the developmental milestones of children. This includes engaging with them through planned stories and activities that stimulate cognitive, emotional, and social growth. You will also spend time playing with the children to foster creativity and motor skills and perform diaper changes as needed to ensure their comfort and hygiene.
South Campus: 7
Teen volunteers are needed at all campuses.
Preschool Leader & Assistant
You have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children by shaping their early educational and spiritual experiences.
OPEN POSITIONS
Sharing Bible stories, teaching kids to pray, and guiding them through activities can be incredibly fulfilling as you contribute to their growth and understanding.
South Campus: 6 (class includes 3K, 4K)

Substitutes are available for back up calls if another volunteer calls out.

Work with kids who may need a little more one-on-one or small group guidance to participate in the lessons.
OPEN POSITIONS
Buddies provide a little extra help, love, and guidance to a specific child in the classroom. They help the child participate during small group classroom time and combine worship and story time. When group participation is challenging, they try to talk about Jesus one-on-one or story for the week. Buddies are equipped with a backpack full of special toys tailored to that specific child and their needs and receive insight and training for the learning needs and abilities of the child they are paired with.

FOX RIVER KIDS MINISTRY
Grade School (5 yrs old – Grade 5)
Volunteering in Fox Kids Elementary offers a uniquely rewarding experience helping children learn and grow in Christ. Grade school volunteering begins each weekend service in grade-level classrooms for welcome, connection, and some time to settle in. Then, each class is led to the Kids Theater for large group kids worship with a live band, worship singers, and dancers, followed by an enthusiastic or animated reading of a story from the Bible. Kids then return to their classrooms for small group time, reflecting on the bible story or doing a craft or activity related to it.

Greeter/Check-in
A greeter welcomes kids and new families upon arrival, helps them navigate the grade school ministry, and assists with the check-in kiosk.
OPEN POSITIONS
Welcome families and help them check kids into class. Greeters are trained to input data into our church database when new families attend.
North Campus: 3 people needed
- Grade School Check out: Help with check out in grade school by matching parent pick-up tickets to kids name tags.
2 people Last 15 minutes of each service.
Muskego Campus: 2 people needed
South Campus:
- Grade School Check In/out: Welcoming kids into theatre. Help with check out in grade school matching parent pick-up tickets to kids name tags.

- Greeter: Hallway greeter. Help families get to the correct space for class.

Grade School Small Group Leader
One of the most important, most needed, and most rewarding roles. 2 time a month during all services at all campuses.
OPEN POSITIONS
The small group leader is a mentor and role model for the kids. They create a kind and welcoming atmosphere for each child, help them feel welcome, learn their names, and show them that church is fun and a safe place for them to learn about God.
Grade School Leaders and Assistants are responsible for leading small group discussions and activities, with all materials provided in advance for preparation. They present and discuss Bible stories by showing a video or narrating the story themselves. Additionally, they organize and oversee Minute-to-Win-It games, celebrate students’ birthdays, and ensure children receive parent guides to take home.
South Campus: Need 9-13 people
North Campus: Need 4-6 people
Muskego Campus: Need 4 people
Grade School Story Teller
The Storyteller teaches the main Bible Story to the kids during large group teaching time. Following the story, volunteers can stay and help or return to service.

Classroom Buddies

Kids Tech Team
Operate lights, sound, videos, T.V.’s, and monitors during large group worship and bible story reading. Many of the operations are ‘pre-set’ for simplicity so this role is open to teens. 3 spots open at South Campus.
(Must 5th grade or older.)
Kids Sing Teacher
Prepare children for the Kids Sing event in November/December by leading worship practice, explaining the meaning of the songs, and teaching choreography. On the event day, assist in leading the performance with support from classroom teachers.
OPEN POSITIONS
Assist in preparing children for the Kids Sing event scheduled for November/December. This involves bringing together preschool and grade school students for worship practice, where you will explain the significance of the songs and the concept of worship. You will also teach the choreography for each song with support from classroom teachers. On the day of Kids Sing, you will help lead the children during their performance.

Bible Bucks Store Helper
On the 4th Sunday of each month, help children redeem Bible Bucks for prizes at the Bible Bucks Store
OPEN POSITIONS
Volunteers will collect the bucks and assist with prize selection. Two volunteers are needed at each campus. The store will be set up in the lobby, and children will visit the store with their parents.

Small Group Leader
A Small Group Leader is one of the most crucial roles within Fox River Students!

- A Small Group Leader acts as a mentor to a small student group while facilitating meaningful conversations about the student lessons and their lives.
- Student groups are split into small groups by age and gender and two leaders are assigned to each group. Leaders hang with their students through games, activity, and worship, and then meet for small group time after the teaching message is delivered by a Ministry leader.
- Small Group Leaders keep connections with their group throughout the week via group text, Bible app reading plans, or other ways they can find to build and maintain a great mentor relationship.

(South Campus): helping students stay safely entertained while their parents or guardians attend their own small group.

- Gym Assistants organize and play games in the gym with middle schoolers while they wait for their parents/guardians to exit their Wednesday night small group gatherings.
- Most games are very simple to coordinate with some formats occurring each week.
- This volunteer role is ideal for individuals or couples who enjoy hanging out with kids in a go-with-the flow type of environment.

UPWARD FOOTBALL
Volunteering for Upward brings joy as you help youth discover Jesus through sports. Guiding young athletes on the field, you witness their growth in skill and confidence, creating lasting memories. Join the Dream Team in fostering a supportive environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to excel both in sports and in faith.

Football/Cheer Coaches
Need of 15 or more football coaches and 4 cheer coaches needed.

Training/Expectation
Cheer and football coaches are expected to attend an hour and a half coach orientation meeting. We will go over all the rules and expectations of what a coach will be doing. Also providing the coach with all the materials needed to be the best coach they can be, such as skills and drills to work on in practice, warm up drills, play calling, player rotations for game line ups, and much more.
Weekly time commitment
Coaches will be responsible for guiding one/one hour practice, and one/one hour game per week for 8 week season.
Commissioner
Partner with Fox River in communicating with families, organizing and planning the season and events, this can be done for all sports or the volunteer could pick one sport in specific they would like to help with.
Devotion team
Rotate through different teams during half time of practices to share the weekly devotion and give a gospel message, also have opportunity to do half time talks during games.
Field maintenance
Paint and maintain field lines through out the season possible cut and or trim grass on fields
Equipment manager
Maintain all equip used such as all balls to be inflated and ready for next sport, soccer goals and nets are good with no tears, basketball hoops are at right heights for appropriate grade level, football pylons and down markers in good working condition
Concessions
Help with serving food for the Upward families and kids, friendly and welcoming to all, help with directing families to the appropriate places for games.
